After Real Madrid walked away from talks with Paris Saint-Germain, Kylian Mbappe is expected to stay at the French club this summer.

Last week, the LaLiga side made a last-minute attempt to recruit Mbappe before the transfer deadline, but their £137 million opening bid was turned down. Real upped their bid to £145 million plus £9 million in add-ons, but it was also rejected.

The Spanish side’s offer expired at 5 p.m. UK time, according to French outlet L’Equipe. According to reports in Spain, Real would be willing to enhance their bid to £172 million, but PSG has refuted this assertion, according to L’Equipe. Real will not make a bigger offer, according to the report, and has decided to walk away from any potential sale.

PSG are anxious to keep hold of the 22-year-old, but he could go for free next summer. Mbappe’s contract expires at the end of the season, and he has so far refused to sign an extension, reportedly because he wants to move to the Bernabeu.
