Although the Premier League season is just three games old, the international break provides an opportunity to assess how England’s top clubs are faring at the start of the season.
Spurs are the Premier League’s surprise leaders following an undefeated start, although Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool are still unblemished at this stage.
Manchester City has only been beaten once this season, but they have scored 10 goals in their last two games. Arsenal’s predicament could not be any worse, as they are currently bottom of the table and appear to be in trouble.
Three wins in a row, no goals conceded, and the only side in the Premier League with a perfect record. And most of it has been done without Harry Kane, whose choice to stay at Spurs this summer has been the team’s biggest plus point thus far.
What has gone unnoticed is that Tottenham’s new manager has managed to boost the club’s atmosphere following Jose Mourinho’s disastrous tenure as manager.
