Cristiano Ronaldo’s spectacular return to Manchester United has taken another step forward after he completed his medical over the weekend in Lisbon.
United has agreed to terms on a two-year contract, with a possibility to extend the contract for another season, according to Sky Sports. Juventus will receive roughly £20 million.
Before Ronaldo’s move to United is officially completed and the Old Trafford club can announce the Portugal star ahead of his second tenure at the club, the final touches are being placed on visa requirements.
Ronaldo is thought to have reached an agreement with United on a £480,000-per-week contract, making him the Premier League’s highest-paid player. On September 11, he might make his second United debut against Newcastle at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo would easily become the league’s oldest player after a three-year stay at United. At the moment, Chelsea defender Thiago Silva, who is 36 years, 11 months, and five days old, holds the title.
