Graeme Souness Claims Adama Traore Has Found His Level At Wolves

Adama Traore has been dubbed a “near miss of a footballer” by Graeme Souness, who claims the Wolves midfielder will not join a ‘Top Six’ side because he lacks clinical ability. Traore has made an impression in Wolves’ first three Premier League games, captivating the eye despite failing to match his incredible pace and deft dribbling with goals and assists.

That fury persisted in the first half of Manchester United’s visit to Molineux on Sunday, when he wrecked havoc without being rewarded, and Souness believes he too often disappoints supporters with his final product.

‘As a footballer, he’s a near miss,’ Souness told Sky Sports. He keeps you on the edge of your seat, but you’ll be shaking your head at his mistakes time and time again.

Traore’s incredible speed and constant threat have seen him linked with a move away from Molineux, with Sportsmail reporting that Tottenham are considering a deal after a loan offer for the 25-year-old was rejected.

With a maximum speed of 22.12mph, the lightning-fast wideman has been clocked as the second-fastest player in the Premier Single this season, but his wastefulness from promising positions has also stood out for a side that has yet to score a league goal.
