Mbappe Set To Be In PSG Squad Despite Real Madrid Offer

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, believes Kylian Mbappe will be in his squad for Sunday’s match against Reims, despite speculation regarding the striker’s future. Real Madrid is attempting to sign Mbappe before the transfer deadline on Tuesday, August 31st, at 23:00 BST.

“Kylian Mbappe is working extremely hard and preparing for the game on Sunday,” Pochettino added. Lionel Messi of Argentina and Neymar of Brazil could both play against Reims. Messi, who joined PSG when his contract with Barcelona expired this summer, is yet to make an appearance for the French club.

He and Neymar haven’t played since Argentina defeated Brazil in the Copa America final on July 11. PSG’s lineup has yet to be revealed, although Pochettino stated that Mbappe, Neymar, and Messi “will undoubtedly be among those chosen” and that “we will see if they can play from the start of the match.”

PSG sporting director Leonardo claimed earlier this week that “Kylian feels like leaving,” but that the club’s goal was to “extend and keep” him.

“In terms of communications, our president and sporting director have made it clear what the club’s stance is in this regard,” Pochettino added. “No,” Pochettino answered when asked if Mbappe had told him he wanted to leave PSG.
