Liverpool have apparently launched an official transfer enquiry for long-term target Yves Bissouma, who has been valued at £40 million by Brighton.
Bissouma has long been linked with a move to Anfield, and was linked with a move as early as last Christmas. However, a deal with the Reds fell through, and Bissouma began the season in Albion colours.
According to the Express, Jurgen Klopp’s side has made an initial offer for Bissouma. Brighton have set a price for the 24-year-old, but are hesitant to trade him after selling Ben White to Arsenal for £50 million this summer.
The club is apparently unwilling to allow him leave the south coast, but they are willing to sell if the proper offer comes in. Bissouma’s current contract isn’t slated to expire until 2023, but Albion has allegedly begun preliminary talks with the Mali international about a new agreement.
