After rejecting Real Madrid’s opening bid of £137 million, Paris Saint-Germain is expected to seek £188 million for Kylian Mbappe. Leonardo, the sports director of the French club, was enraged by the Spanish club’s approach, as the price was lower than what they paid Monaco when Mbappe was 18.
According to the front page of AS, PSG would demand at least €220 million (£188 million), though they may be willing to accept a £170 million bid, as published by L’Equipe.
‘PSG’s position has always been to maintain Kylian,’ Leonardo remarked in an interview. That has been the goal for the past two years, and it is still the same.
‘We offered him a significant offer two months ago – on par with the top players – and another even more recently that was even greater, but this is a Real Madrid plan, to have the name of one of our players.’
