Could Fans Convince Paul Pogba To Stay At ManU?

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes Manchester United fans’ adoration will inspire Paul Pogba to accept a new contract at the club. Pogba was brilliant in Manchester United’s 5-1 victory over Leeds on Saturday, assisting four times as a joyful Old Trafford was packed to capacity for the first time in 17 months.

When his current £290,000-a-week contract expires in June, the Frenchman will be a free agent, and he has so far turned down United’s offers of additional terms. When asked if the backing of fans can persuade Pogba to change his mind, Solskjaer answered, “The quick answer is absolutely!”

He added: ‘The last 18 months have been strange. The only interaction has been through media. You’ve watched the games on telly and haven’t had that connection.

‘So to be reunited with the fans again, like Paul and Bruno (Fernandes) today, is important. This is Man United, the real Man United. This is how I sold Man United to Edinson (Cavani) for example. You can’t leave after one season playing with no fans. That’s Man United: fans, players, everyone together.’
