Anthony Martial has been mentioned as a possible replacement for Romelu Lukaku, who is leaving Inter Milan. Lukaku is on the verge of joining Chelsea from Inter for £98 million, as the Italian club looks to alleviate their financial troubles.
Inter will attempt to sign Martial on a season-long loan if Lukaku returns to Stamford Bridge.
Manchester United, according to The Sun, would prefer a permanent deal for the striker over a temporary one. It’s thought that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would agree to a 12-month loan if it came with a buy-back clause.
The Red Devils, on the other hand, would only sell the 25-year-old for a sum near to the £50 million they paid for him six years ago.
If Inter can come up with the money, they’ll finally have the payer they’ve been looking for for the past two years.
