Robinson Feared For England Career Following Ban Over Tweet

After the revelation of historical tweets that clouded his debut, pace bowler Ollie Robinson believed he would never play for England again.

Robinson, now 27, made posts when he was 18 and 19 years old, which surfaced during the first day of the first Test against New Zealand at Lord’s in June.

On his return to the England side for the first Test against India at Trent Bridge, he scored 5-85.

Robinson admitted, “There was definitely a point when I had misgivings about my job.” “I was talking to my lawyers about the possibility of being banned for a couple of years and never playing for England again,” he said.
