As the wantaway star looks to force through a move to Manchester City, Harry Kane has stated that he has “never refused to train” and that he is “hurt” by Tottenham fans’ “questioning my professionalism.”
After failing to report back to Spurs for pre-season following his post-Euro 2020 holiday, the England captain has been the focus of great scrutiny, with manager Nuno Espirito Santo confirming earlier this week that he had not even spoken to Kane.
Kane, though, responded to the criticism in an online message, maintaining that he had not acted unprofessionally and that he will return to Tottenham on Saturday. Kane expressed his displeasure with Spurs fans who have criticized their talisman’s alleged bad behavior in order to facilitate his move to City, stating that Spurs fans have’shown me entire love and support’ for almost a decade.
‘That’s why reading some of the comments this week questioning my professionalism hurts,’ Kane said, adding that he “wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize the bond I have with the fans.”
