Ben White, England Centre Back, Has Joined Arsenal From Brighton For A Fee Of £50m

Arsenal have confirmed the signing of defender Ben White from Brighton on a five-year contract.

The Gunners agreed to a £50 million fee with the Seagulls earlier this month to sign the highly-rated 23-year-old, who followed up his excellent loan spell with Leeds with another strong season for Brighton last season.

Mikel Arteta has signed three senior players this summer, including full back Nuno Tavares from Benfica and midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga from Anderlecht. The England international has been given the No 4 shirt, which was previously assigned to William Saliba, who will be loaned out to Marseille this season after failing to gain Arteta’s trust.

‘Obviously I’ve known for quite a while and it’s taken longer than I expected, but I’m buzzing to be here,’ White said of his move to Arsenal’s website.
