Manchester City are set to make their first bid for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish, who is valued at £100 million.
Pep Guardiola is set to make a bid of roughly £75 million plus add-ons in order to entice one of England’s best players away from the Premier League champions.
Villa will offer their 25-year-old star a big new contract worth more than £150,000 per week in an attempt to persuade him to stay unless a British record £100 million valuation is satisfied.
There has been significant talk of a £100 million buyout clause in that transaction, but neither party has verified its existence. However, there is a growing consensus that City must reach that figure before putting Grealish in a dream midfield with Kevin De Bruyne, Grealish’s favorite Premier League player.
