The pursuit of Jamaican winger Leon Bailey by Aston Villa has been hindered by other Premier League clubs’ interest. Villa were the first to express an interest in Bailey, despite the fact that his current club, Bayer Leverkusen, was quick to state that they wanted more than £25 million for him.
Villa have not been scared off by that figure, according to 90min, and have instead firmed up their interest by speaking with both the club and his representation.
But Dean Smith’s side aren’t the only Premier League club interested in the 23-year-old, with Midlands rivals Leicester City among a host of others. Everton, Wolves, and Southampton are also interested, while Liverpool, Chelsea, and Manchester City have previously expressed interest in Bailey.
There’s no sign that any of the latter are willing to make a transfer at this time, however Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are looking for another forward and have held talks with Watford about Ismaila Sarr.
