Chelsea legend John Terry Quits Aston Villa To Pursue Managerial Ambitions

After a great spell at Aston Villa, John Terry has decided to pursue a managerial career. Terry, the great Chelsea centre-back, first came to Villa Park as a player in 2017, then returned a year later as an assistant head coach.

Villa earned promotion from the Championship to the Premier League during that time, survived relegation in their first season back in the top level, and finished 11th last season.

Terry, who has been linked with a move to Swansea, has revealed that he intends to pursue a coaching post in the near future.

‘It has been an incredible honour and joy to spend the last three years at Aston Villa, but I believe the time has come to make the extremely painful choice to move on,’ Terry, 40, said.
