Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has signed a new deal that will keep him at the club for another season.

The Norwegian has signed a contract that will keep him with the club until 2024, with a one-year extension option. In December 2018, Solskjaer was appointed as a caretaker manager to succeed Jose Mourinho before being named permanent manager on a three-year contract in March 2019.

‘I’m surrounded by a terrific coaching team, and we’re all excited to take the next step on our path.’ Manchester United wants to win the greatest and best trophies, and we’re all working towards that goal. We’ve progressed both on and off the field, and we’ll continue to do so in the coming seasons.

‘I can’t wait to play in front of a sold-out Old Trafford crowd and start this campaign.’ United wants to take the next step this season and fight for the Premier League title for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson’s departure in 2013.
