Emile Smith Rowe has been confirmed as Arsenal’s new No 10 after signing a new long-term contract with the club until 2026.
Smith Rowe, who was a summer transfer target for Aston Villa, has committed his future to Arsenal and will take over the legendary shirt that has been empty since Mesut Ozil’s departure in January.
Smith Rowe’s previous contract was set to expire in 2023, and Villa made two bids of £25 million and £30 million to entice him away.
Arsenal, on the other hand, was able to persuade him that his long-term future is at the Emirates and that he should stay.
