Man City Weigh Up Option Of Bayern Munich Hitman Lewandowski After Seeing £100m Bid For Top Target Harry Kane Rejected

Manchester City is keeping an eye on Robert Lewandowski’s contract situation as they want to sign an elite center striker this summer. The Poland striker’s current contract with Bayern Munich, at more than £300,000 per week, expires in two years, and he has yet to sign a new one.

England captain Harry Kane is City’s main target, for whom they bid £100 million on the eve of Euro 2020. Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, on the other hand, is adamant on keeping Kane for at least another season, which means City may have to look for alternatives.

Lewandowski is an excellent choice. From 2014 to 2016, the 32-year-old played for Bayern Munich under Pep Guardiola, earning two Bundesliga titles and the German Cup.

Lewandowski has long been a target for Real Madrid, and his agent, Pini Zahavi, recently arranged the transaction that sent David Alaba from Bayern Munich to the Bernabeu.
