Youri Tielemans ‘wants to join Liverpool,’ but Leicester City want at least £64 million for the Belgian international. The 24-year-old midfielder produced a magnificent goal to win the FA Cup final against Chelsea last season, but he struggled at Euro 2020, when Belgium was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Italy.
Liverpool, on the other hand, is said to be interested in signing Tielemans, with manager Jurgen Klopp seeing him as the ideal successor for Georginio Wijnaldum.
Renato Sanches, Saul Niguez, Florian Neuhaus, and Yves Bissouma have all been linked with Liverpool ahead of the new season, and Tielemans has emerged as the frontrunner.
After a successful loan spell at Monaco, Leicester paid £32 million for Tielemans in July 2019. He has 108 appearances for the club, scoring 17 goals.
