“You’re not an England fan, and we don’t want you,” England captain Harry Kane told fans who racially abused teammates Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, and Bukayo Saka.
In the 3-2 shootout loss to Italy in the Euro 2020 final on Sunday, all three players missed penalties.
Following the game, they were harassed on social media.
“They deserve help and support, not the disgusting racial insults they’ve been subjected to since last night,” Kane said. “Three lads who had been excellent all summer had the courage to step up and take a pen when the stakes were high,” Tottenham striker Harry Kane wrote on Twitter.
“You’re not an England fan if you trash people on social media, and we don’t want you.”
