Dominic Calvert-Lewin Ben White Omitted Again From England’s 23-Man Squad

Gareth Southgate has left Dominic Calvert-Lewin out of England’s 23-man squad for the second time, preferring not to put a back-up striker on the bench for their semi-final against Denmark.

As captain, Harry Kane leads the line, but there is no obvious replacement, but Marcus Rashford or Raheem Stering may play through the middle if necessary.

Southgate is only able to choose 23 players from his 26-man squad, with Ben Chilwell and Ben White the other two unfortunate individuals.

Calvert-Lewin was again left out of the last 16 match against Germany, although he was called back for the quarter-final match against Ukraine. Everton forward came off the bench to replace Kane in the 70th minute, with his only other appearance coming in the final three minutes of the opening game against Croatia.
