Following the resignation of Carlo Ancelotti, Everton player James Rodriguez is being courted by clubs all over Europe.
Last season, the Colombian international joined Everton from Real Madrid and showed flashes of brilliance, but he had a mainly dismal season due to a series of niggling injuries. Although the 29-year-old has a strong relationship with Ancelotti, the chances of him reuniting with his former Real Madrid coach are remote.
Everton’s financial fair play concerns mean that losing James’s enormous salary while gaining a transfer price would be something they’d have to think about, especially given the player’s absence for large swaths of the previous season.
As his agent Jorge Mendes searches for a solution, he has been offered to Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and AC Milan. This week, Milan lost playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu to Inter.
