Karim Benzema was taken off in a friendly against Bulgaria, giving France an injury scare only days before the Euros begin.
Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema suffered a knee injury in the first half against Bulgaria, only three days before Euro 2020 kicks off and a week before France’s first match against Germany.
Following an awkward landing following a header, Benzema signaled to the bench that he needed to be substituted before collapsing to the ground at the Stade de France.
Benzema reportedly limped through the tunnel after halftime, but was able to walk without assistance, according to TF1.
