Nuno Espirito Santo is no longer being pursued by Crystal Palace due to worries over his demands. On Tuesday night, club authorities called off their efforts to appoint the Portuguese, who left Wolves at the end of last season, as their new manager.
Santo has made a number of demands, and the team has chosen to drop their interest in him.
The fact that Wolves finished one point and one place ahead of Palace in the Premier League is thought to be a major reason in the Eagles’ refusal to comply with a set of new demands made by Santo late on Tuesday night.
During conversations over the last ten days, Palace notified Santo that he would be their new head coach. Everton could launch a last-minute attempt to derail the Eagles’ bid, therefore the Eagles were hoping for a firm decision within the next 48 hours.
