Manchester United had hoped to create momentum going into their Europa League final against Villarreal by putting in a string of good results in the Premier League.
However, after qualifying for the final, the Red Devils’ fortunes have turned sour, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side failing to win any of their last three Premier League games. The hectic schedule for the 2020/2021 season hasn’t helped matters, as United has played 59 matches in all competitions, which is more than any other team in Europe’s top five leagues.
United, on the other hand, has some underlying problems that must be addressed before the showpiece on May 26 in Gdansk.
Sportsmail has compiled a list of Manchester United’s growing issues ahead of their Europa League final, ranging from their lack of focus in critical moments of games to their defensive inconsistency without Harry Maguire.
