Love means so many things to a young mother; especially if it’s her first. Sometimes, she just doesn’t feel like it but, for the sake of her new babies, she just gotta pull up strong. From having to wake up as early as possible to watch over the kids and breastfeed them, motherhood takes a different toll on women who have more than one kid birthed at once. The truckload of emotions they have to deal with on a daily basis literally crushes them. At this point in time, they’ll be needing all the love and support that they can from their partner/husband and, there’s so many ways these men can show support to their women.
Assisting her with changing their diapers will be a great way to start. Now, while it’s understandable that not all men know how to do this, they can, at least, learn. This will help to put a smile on her face and ease off a huge bunch of stress off her. Helping to change your babies diapers will give you the opportunity to bond more with them cos, its not an easy task in itself. With time, you’ll get used to it.
Taking care of one kid is enough war; not to talk of two or three or more. Assisting your partner with any task in regards to looking after the babies will go a long way. At this point in time, all the love she needs from you is a literal translation of the help you’ll render to her. She sees and honours you as a part of her life and, she’d want you to be around to assist in keeping an eye on the kids. It’s at this point in time that Post Partum Depression (PPD) kicks in and, you just have to know how to manage her emotions so you don’t get unnecessarily upset.
Love, for a mum with multiple births, means that you have to stand in the gap for her on days that she may not likely want to lift a finger. Sometimes, the feelings of taking care of the babies overwhelmes her and, she’d so love for you to step in and do for her what she would’ve done by herself. She’ll definitely be appreciative of every effort you show to her at this point because the stress she goes through is enough to drain her completely. Motherhood is an amazing yet, straining journey but, as a man, you can help lessen the burden for her.
