Liga Crown Is Still Possible For Barca As They Go 2nd Again

Barcelona beat Real Valladolid 1-0 thanks to a dramatic late winner from Ousmane Dembele, giving them a big boost in their La Liga title challenge. Barcelona has moved up to second place in La Liga, one point behind leaders Atletico Madrid, after winning their sixth consecutive match.
Barca seemed to be disappointed, but Oscar Plano’s clear red card for a reckless foul on Dembele proved to be the turning point. In the final minute, Dembele volleyed home Ronald Araujo’s flick-on.
In the first half, both teams reached the woodwork, with Kenan Kodro’s header for Valladolid and Pedri’s low drive for Barcelona tipped on to the wall. After Atletico Madrid’s weekend defeat to Sevilla, Barcelona’s title hopes are now in their hands. Barcelona will play Real Madrid in El Clasico on Saturday and will host Atletico Madrid the following month.
