Everton’s New £500million Stadium Is Approved

Liverpool city council has accepted Everton’s bid for a new £ 500 million stadium at Bramley-Moore dock. In September last year, new designs for the 52,888-capacity stadium were announced and the council’s verdict on Tuesday means that Everton’s exit from Goodison Park has taken a big step forward.
The plan for the new stadium was unanimously accepted by the council and the expectation is that Everton will be able to complete the construction between 2023 and 2024. He was ‘completely impressed’ by the club’s presentation, Cllr Steve Radford said.
The protocol now dictates that the plans will go to Secretary of State Robert Jenrick’s office, considering the size of the project. But it is a big step forward for development to seek municipal support for the proposals.
