After Being Labelled Too Old By Barcelona, Luis Suarez Has Proven Himself

It seemed at the end of last summer that after he was piled on with the deadwood to be cleaned out under new boss Ronald Koeman, Luis Suarez’s career was in a decline.
At the Nou Camp, Suarez did not have a poor season, with his 21 goals over 36 games a more than decent return for many strikers.
But Koeman opted not to include him as part of his Barca future in a season where he was hit by injury issues and his advancing age, and the now 34-year-old was sold for £ 5.5million to Atletico Madrid.
It was a move that angrily left the Uruguayan striker, saying he still had what it took at the top level to play.
Luis Suarez has continued to bang in the goals for Atletico Madrid this term with 16 in total
‘Today, we can see that playing at Barca is not easy… Many players who signed there did not have the amount they were supposed to have. I have been playing at Barca for six years, keeping a certain standard and living up to what was required of me.’
It’s an impressive return for LaLiga’s current top scorer after his summer move from Barcelona
