Everything Seems Improved Since Frank Left- Azpilicueta Twists The Knife

By lauding Thomas Tuchel’s timely arrival at Chelsea, saying ‘all has changed’ under the German boss, Cesar Azpilicueta has compounded Frank Lampard’s suffering. Before Lampard’s sacking at the end of January, Chelsea was in the midst of a crisis, with the club languishing ninth in the Premier League after a dismal run of form.
But at Stamford Bridge, Tuchel has overseen a mini revival, winning four of his first six top-flight matches that saw his side climb up to fifth, and the end of the season comes with a great chance of securing Champions League football.
Speaking directly about the dismissal of Lampard, he added:’ The findings were just not pleasant. I was lucky enough to share a dressing room with him and after he educated me, Frank was a myth as a footballer, but (Roman) Abramovich and his executive were the ones who wanted to change direction.’
