Ralph Hasenhuttl, the Southampton manager, remains adamant that striker Danny Ings will sign a new deal with the club.
In the summer of 2022, the 28-year-current old’s three-year contract expires and he has yet to commit to extending his stay with the Saints despite Tottenham’s recorded interest. Hasenhuttl said:’ As long as the contract is not signed, I think a new one (the question) won’t stop.
‘I can only say that this is where we want him to stay. As a club, we have shown that we certainly want him to be here, and he has shown signs that he wants to stay with us. So I’m still sure we’re all right for the future together.’
