FIFA Is Threatening To Ban World Cup Players If They Agree To Join The European Super League

In the midst of renewed talk of a European Super League featuring some of the world’s largest clubs, FIFA has threatened to ban any player or club participating in breakaway competitions.
For years, with Barcelona, Real Madrid and several leading Premier League clubs believed to prefer a ring-fenced European league that would feature some of the richest and most successful teams, a breakaway continental tournament has been mooted and debated.
However, others, including Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich, have vocally opposed this, although UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin and La Liga boss Javier Tebas are among the most outspoken opponents of the breakaway plans.
