With a goal of magical quality to win at Bramall Lane, Tanguy Ndombele finished his personal tale of redemption at Tottenham.
The choices for Ndombele seemed minimal as he burst onto Steven Bergwijn’s chipped pass. He was deep inside the penalty area and behind the back line of Sheffield United and yet out of goal and facing the corner flag.
It seemed like his best route was to get the ball under control, run it deep into space and recycle possession. Putting Tottenham 3-1 up was a goal and there would be no way back from this stage.
