7.0 Magnitude Earthquake Hits Turkey And Greece

A powerful earthquake struck off Turkey’s Aegean coast and north of the Greek island of Samos, as well as the capital Athens on Friday, October 30th.

The tremor of 7.0 magnitude was centered off Turkey’s Izmir province and it was felt as far away as Athens and Istanbul, US Geological Survey (USGS) said

Shortly after the earthquake hit, Turkish officials said at least Four dead, 120 injured after strong earthquake; 20 buildings collapsed and people trapped in the rubble.

Greek media said residents of Samos and other islands fled their homes, while some rockfalls were reported.
