Late Rashford Goal Earns United A Win Against PSG

With a superb winner, Marcus Rashford repeated his late heroics against Paris St-Germain as Manchester United marked their return to the Champions League with a fine victory at the home of the beaten finalists last season.

In a first half that saw Bruno Fernandes stroke them ahead with a twice-taken penalty, the visitors had excelled. In the United goal, David de Gea had to put in a much-improved display, making good saves to deny the superstar duo of PSG, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar.

After the break, PSG looked much more like their old self and United had to defend well-but before his brilliant late winner, Rashford was guilty of missing a few opportunities on the counter-attack. With RB Leipzig-last season’s semi-finalists-up and running with a victory, it’s now Tuchel’s side that just needs to move into gear quickly to make it out of Group H.
