Your opinion and thoughts about yourself ends up one way or the other affecting the things you do in the physical and how you react to life in general. Your actions are a radiation of your inner thoughts and what you think you can or can’t do is a product of your what goes on in your head.

All of these adds up to form, make or mar your self confidence which is basically a measure of your belief in your abilities. Here are a few things you can do to boost it;

1. No One Is Perfect

The first thing to do is realise that no one perfect, do not expect perfection from yourself. You can do the much you can and be only as good as humans can, there will always be flaws and mistakes here and there. Don’t let them get into your act.

2. What Makes You Happy?

Concentrate on those things that makes you happy and fulfilled as a person. Create a little personal time for yourself everyday to do the things you enjoy doing, be it reading, music or even dancing naked. When you are happy, your thoughts are more likely to be positive which in turn gives you positive vibes and confidence.

3. Forget The Things You Can’t Change

Once the milk is spilled, that’s it, you can’t do anything about it. Same applies to life, realise and accept the things you can’t change or alter and concentrate on the things that you can control and change, then work towards them. This way you wont continuously hurt your self esteem over what is out of your control.

4 Your Physical Appearance Matters

5. Avoid Comparison

If you keep comparing yourself with others simply because they appear to be doing better than you, you will kill whatever is let of your self confidence. Rather focus on your own accomplishments and goals, and keep encouraging yourself to achieve more. There are a lot of people who are better than you and there are a lot more you are better than. Comparison will leave you depressed and demoralised, which is not good for your personal development.

7. Mind What You Think

The way you think will always end up manifesting in the actions you take. If you think you can’t do it, you will be become reluctant to even try at all and in the end, you won’t do it which then asserts your thought that you can’t do it. Recognise your negative thoughts and pay no attention to them, this way you will have the confidence to try, even if you fail, you will have learnt to do it better next time.

8. Be Good to Others

Yes, help others when you can and as much as you can, it may come back to you when you least expect it, especially when your confidence runs low. Apart from the fact that helping others makes them feel good, it also makes you feel good about yourself which is a good way to boost your confidence.
