Leandro Paredes of Paris Saint-Germain is being considered as a possible replacement for Arthur Melo while he recovers from his injury. Following surgery to remove a calcified scar from an injury he sustained in February, the Brazilian will be gone for at least three months.
According to La Repubblica, the Bianconeri are looking to fill up the holes with Paredes. They’re offering a loan with a buyout option at the end of the season.
It would be a return to Serie A for the Argentina international, who previously played for Chievo, Empoli, and Roma before joining Zenit St Petersburg for €23 million in 2017. In January 2019, he joined PSG for €40 million, and his deal with the Ligue 1 giants extends until June 2023.
Regardless of whether Juventus is able to obtain Manuel Locatelli from Sassuolo, according to the Italian daily, Juventus is still interested in Paredes. They are in a bidding war with Arsenal for the Italy international, who has a price tag of €40 million plus bonuses.
