In the wake of Chelsea’s interest in Erling Braut Haaland, Borussia Dortmund has ruled out trading him this summer. Thomas Tuchel, the Chelsea manager, is a big fan of Haaland, who has 20 goals in 16 Champions League appearances for Red Bull Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund, making him one of Europe’s most wanted players.
Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has been keeping an eye on the issue. Following the departure of Sergio Aguero, the club’s all-time leading scorer, who joined Barcelona on a free transfer, he is hoping to recruit a striker this summer. City have also been linked with England captain Harry Kane, whose future at Tottenham is uncertain.
The club has already dismissed reports tying it to Antoine Griezmann of Barcelona and Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich. Dortmund, on the other hand, is adamant about rejecting any Haaland bids.
Although they stated that they would allow Jadon Sancho depart this summer if a reasonable offer came in, they did so as part of a gentleman’s agreement with the 21-year-old, which they honored by agreeing to a £73 million deal with Manchester United.
