Giorgio Chiellini Claims He Put A Curse On Bukayo Saka Before He Missed The Decisive Penalty

Giorgio Chiellini claims he cursed Bukayo Saka before the teen England star missed the game-winning penalty in the Euro 2020 final. Saka was crushed after seeing his spot-kick palmed away by Gianluigi Donnarumma, putting an end to the Three Lions’ incredible season at Wembley.

However, Italy defender Chiellini, who isn’t afraid to use every trick in the book during games, has now confessed that he said the phrase ‘Kiricocho’ right as Saka took his penalty. Slow motion video of the Italian players reacting to Donnarumma’s trophy presentation shows Chiellini, 36, mouthing the word before sprinting away to celebrate.

‘Kiricocho’ is a South American phrase that is thought to mean ‘curse you’ or ‘jinx’ in English.

Its roots are absolutely strange, with the word being named after an Estudiantes supporter in Argentina during the 1980s. The fan would come to practice, but his appearances would coincide with injuries to the team’s stars.
