Two weeks before the first Test against the British and Irish Lions, South Africa captain Siya Kolisi tested positive for Covid-19.
Coronavirus has been found in Dan du Preez, Ox Nche, Bongi Mbonambi, Scarra Ntubeni, Makazole Mapimpi, and three members of the management team.
It brings the overall number of patients in the Springbok camp to more than 20.
After six days of isolation, a “substantial group” of South African players will return to training on Sunday. The three-Test series against the touring Lions begins on July 24 and runs for three weekends.
