Leonardo Spinazzola, who is injured, has confirmed that he will be at Wembley to support his Italy teammates in the Euro 2020 final against England.
Before rupturing his achilles in the Azzurri’s quarter-final win against Belgium, Spinazzola had been outstanding for the Azzurri. Before being withdrawn, the 28-year-old had given his team one assist in four games and won two Man of the Match accolades at the Euros.
After it was revealed that Spinazzola was the joint-fastest player at this year’s event, clocking a remarkable top speed of 21mph, he will be a significant loss for Italy.
Despite his team’s early elimination from the Group of Death last month, he shares the title with Hungary defender Loic Nego, who also recorded the same amount to rocket up the standings.
