Mauricio Pochettino clarified that, since his sacking last year, he had no resentment towards Tottenham. In November 2019, after a poor run of results that saw the club sit 14th in the Premier League, the Argentine was fired from his role as manager of the North London club, just months after they lost the Champions League final against Liverpool.
‘I’m not going to pretend I wasn’t disappointed after one year now,’ Pochettino told Sky Sports Monday Night Football. ‘I was a little disappointed and wasn’t pleased when we left a club where you think the relationship with the staff, players and, of course, the fans is huge after five and a half years.
