After their dismal display in their 1-0 loss to Antwerp, Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho laid on his players on social media-promising to bring them in for training on Friday morning.
In their Europa League group stage clash in Belgium, the north London side were well off the pace and Mourinho was left seething at the performance of his players, saying he would have happily made eleven changes at half time.
His side produced one of their worst displays under the Portuguese since he arrived last year
In the first half, a bad mistake by Ben Davies allowed Antwerp’s Lior Refaelov to fire one past Hugo Lloris, with the Portuguese boss causing a shock at the interval by making four alterations. After the final whistle, he refused to hold back, tweeting a photo of himself on the team bus and saying he was ‘upset’ – promising on Friday morning to pull his players in for training.
