With a comfortable win at Marseille, Manchester City continued their perfect start to the Champions League group stage. With Ferran Torres opening the scoring after Kevin de Bruyne got in behind the Marseille defence, the visitors dominated from the beginning. With a neat hit from the edge of the post, Oleksandr Zinchenko clipped the outside of the post.
In the City target, Marseille rarely troubled Ederson. The speculative attempt by Nemanja Radonjic from 30 yards was easily saved, while after the break, Florian Thauvin hit the outside of a post, while Ederson had it covered.
City went up a notch and wrapped up the victory in style as the hosts tired, as Ilkay Gundogan stabbed in from the knockdown of Raheem Sterling before Sterling tapped home from another assist from De Bruyne.
