Arsenal legend Ian Wright claims that, despite the acquisition of Thomas Partey, the club still must seek the signing of Lyon star Houssem Aouar. The Gunners spent the window closely linked to the French midfielder, but just before the window closed, they ended up signing Partey from Atletico.
“As quoted by Metro, Wright told Premier League Productions:” I don’t mind that [Party’s disciplinary record] because he’s someone who intercepts. He has more individual interceptions than the rest of the midfield of Arsenal since his first game. He’s someone who can win the ball, but he can advance the ball. He’s someone who can win the ball, but he can advance the ball.
“We need more, he’s not the main one, and that’s why Arsenal also went for Houssem Aouar. I ‘m hoping they can still get him at some stage, but on what Arsenal has, Partey is a major improvement.”
