Tony Cascarino, a former Chelsea striker, claims Liverpool should have attempted to sign Wilfred Zaha, the Crystal Palace star, during the summer.
I was shocked that Liverpool didn’t go to [Zaha] for him, but then they went to [Diogo] Jota and got him £ 40 million and a younger player who had already stepped in, “he told TalkSPORT.”
I thought Wilf would have played in the way they play for Liverpool. I figured in their set-up he would have been superb. One afternoon, he gave Trent Alexander-Arnold a genuinely hard game at the Palace.
