Mourinho Takes A Swipe At Wenger Over Absence In Ex-Arsenal Manager’s Book, Says “He Never Beat Me”

In his latest autobiography, Jose Mourinho claims that Arsene Wenger neglected to mention him because, throughout his career, the former Arsenal boss did not beat him much. This week, Wenger published his book “My Life in Red & White” but did not mention the new manager of Tottenham, against whom he had a sometimes tumultuous rivalry.

With the Portuguese boss winning nine of the duo’s 19 meetings and Wenger winning just twice, Mourinho always got the better of Wenger. At a press conference on Friday, Mourinho was asked why he felt he was not included in Wenger’s book, to which he replied: “Because he never beat me.”

You’re not going to play 12 or 14 games in a chapter and never win one, so why would he talk about me in his book? A book is a matter of making you happy, of making you proud, so I understand perfectly.
