Algerian head coach Djamel Belmadi has praised his men after they showed supremacy over the Nigerians Gernot Rohr counterparts. The Algerian team in their usual fast pace scored the only goal of the match before the sixth minute with their Borussia Monchengladbach’s Ramy Bensebaini who slotted in a cheap corner kick drop.
To challenge the Algerians for a comeback, the Super Eagles of Nigeria dominated the match severally but were unable to see the back of the net till the end. This was a real test to preparation on Gernot Rohr and his squad. You can recall that it is the same Algeria that eliminated Nigeria in the Nation’s Cup before going ahead to win it.
According to Djamel Belmadi the Desert Foxes boss, his side are better than the Super Eagles when he said and I quote: “We came to find difficulty. We were tactically better. We did everything we had prepared this week. Great credit to the players.
