What Nigeria Has To Prove This International Window

The long awaited friendly match between Nigeria and Algeria has finally arrived and tomorrow being Friday, the Nigeria national team will take to the pitch for the first time in 2020 and indeed in 11 months in a high-profile engagement with Algeria.

Those who are current with Nigerian and African football would quickly recall that it’s the same Algeria who eliminated the Super Eagles at the AFCON last tournament. That is not the main point. Nigeria’s last competitive football outing was against The Bandana Banana of South Africa where the Super Eagles recorded a 4-2 victory and before that came the Beinin clash where they also came out victorious on 2-1 scoreline.

In this unique outing that is bound to hold, while the players will be qusting for international recognition and better club to play for, the coach would be working hard to prove himself better and rewrite the wrongs he wrote in the last African Cup of Nation.
