Simy Nwankwo scored his first goal in the 2020-21 Serie A campaign as Crotone bowed to a 4-1 loss against Sassuolo on Saturday. The Nigerian striker could not end his team’s losing streak in the Italian top-flight as they suffered their third straight defeat not minding a new season.
The win pushed Sassuolo to the top of the Serie A table with seven points after three matches while Crotone languish at the bottom with no points after three games. It will be wiser for them to be more defensive when they welcome defending champions Juventusto the Stadio Ezio Scida for their next league fixture on October 17.
